Job Duties, Responsibilities, Qualifications, and Requirements |

Job Summary |
The Director of Finance is responsible for financial reporting, the accounting activities of the department, information technologies,
security and facilities operations. |
|
|
Essential Duties And
Responsibilities |
·
Manages the accounting, payroll,
IT staff and IT consultants, and facilities/security staff. ·
Recruits, hires, and
conducts performance evaluations. ·
Manages the company’s financial
accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets. ·
Establishes internal
controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. ·
Prepares monthly financial
statements in accordance with GAAP. ·
Prepares annual budgets. ·
Responsible for contract
administration and reporting to funding sources. ·
Produces program and
department reports to Program Directors. ·
Audits accounts to ensure
compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside
auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit. ·
Provides financial analysis
with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract
negotiations. ·
Ensures compliance with
local, state, and federal government requirements. ·
Evaluates information
systems to maximize efficiencies. ·
Responsible for maintaining
corporate insurance policies. ·
Attendance at Board of Trustee
meetings and presentation of financial statements. ·
Supervise and/or carry out
facilities operations, including bidding and contracting of facilities improvements. ·
Supervise security operations.

Qualifications |
·
Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. ·
Excellent organizational
and time management skills. ·
Proficient in accounting software
and Microsoft Office. ·
Careful attention to
details, deadlines, and follow-through. ·
Thorough knowledge of and
experience with financial and information systems and the ability to
communicate that knowledge. ·
Supervisory experience. ·
Experience working in the
non-profit industry.

Education And/or Experience |

Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting/Finance ·
Eight or more years of
related experience; non-profit experience preferred ·
Supervisory experience |
