NYC Controller – Consumer Goods Company

A rapidly growing NYC-based Consumer Goods company is looking for a financial professional with a background in finance and operations to become their #1 finance person. The successful candidate will partner with the company President to help expand the organization to a higher level.

The organization sells to “Big Box” retailers, DTC and B2B. The company manufactures abroad and warehouses its products in the US.  

The successful candidate for this highly visible position requires a background of approximately 5 -7 years in the consumer goods industry. The individual will be responsible for the financial operations of the company. In addition to providing monthly financial reports, the Controller will produce business forecasts and budgets.

The company needs a self-starter with a strong accounting foundation and has heavy involvement with e-commerce systems. The successful candidate will evaluate the current procedures and computer systems to determine the need for new start-of-the-art technology including an ERP system to help the company get to the next level. The Controller will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong internal controls procedures.

The company is looking for a tactful professional with a controls-oriented and analytical mindset.

The compensation for this position is competitive and includes a discretionary bonus plus benefits.

A rapidly growing NYC-based Apparel company is looking for a dynamic financial professional with a background in finance, operations and IT to enhance its finance group and become its Controller.. The Controller will partner with the CEO to grow the organization to a higher level.

The organization sales are to “Big Box” retailers, DTC and B2B. The company has approximating 100 SKUs which are manufactured internationally and warehoused in the US on east and west coast. 

The successful candidate for this highly visible position requires a background of 7 – 10 years in the apparel industry. The individual will be responsible for the financial operations of the company. In addition to providing monthly financial reports, the Controller will produce business forecasts and budgets.

The company needs a self-starter who will build a strong finance team. The Controller will evaluate the current used systems and will select and implement new start-of-the-art technology including an ERP system if warranted. The Controller will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong internal controls procedures.

The company is looking for a tactful professional with a controls-oriented and analytical mindset.

The compensation for this position is $150K - $200K + discretionary bonus plus benefits.

Seeking an IT SOX & Compliance Analyst - contract to hire position

 Genesis10 is seeking an IT SOX & Compliance Analyst for a contract to hire position with a reinsurance agency located in Warren, NJ. This role will be mostly remote but candidate should be local as they will be expected to come to office 4-5 times a month.


Summary:
The IT SOX & Compliance Analyst has the responsibility of supporting the department's Technical Risk Officer (TRO) in examining, evaluating, and verifying operating policies, procedures, internal controls, liaising with other compliance functions, and recorded data for the information technology department.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing assistance and guidance to the internal and external auditors and delivery teams to ensure a timely and efficient completion of the audit.
  • Support coordinating the response and remediation of items identified during self-audit, pre and post audit reviews.
  • Coordinating and supporting the SOX-related testing requests and ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  • Analyzing and documenting all information systems and related controls and developing an appropriate audit program to test the controls identified.
  • Supporting the annual recertification processes within the technology function and ensure timely completion
  • Performing pre- and post-implementation reviews of system implementations or enhancements
  • Drafting reporting to leadership on key findings or suggestions impacting ETS processes or controls
  • Assist in the assessment of security and processing controls as they relate to each audit, and the effectiveness of general computer controls in effect in the IT environment.
  • Assisting in the review of IT asset information and classification and updating key infrastructure data
  • Supporting the TRO in any compliance-related projects throughout the calendar year

Qualifications:
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or computer science
  • Understanding of technology domains such as software development, operating systems, database management, networking, project & release management
  • Understanding of information security standards, best practices for securing computer systems, and applicable laws and regulations
  • 2 years of experience in IT Governance/IT Audit internal audit or external audit firm
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including application and IT general controls

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for routine maintenance, set-up, configurations, etc. for hardware and software systems, analyzing and resolving end-user trouble tickets
  • Ensure compliance with IT processes, cyber security practices, policies and procedures
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Assist Senior Technician with assigned projects, asset management, and comprehensive documentation
  • Interface with users, answer questions and resolve technical problems with PCs, Laptops, Software, Networking/WIFI, and phone systems
  • Perform routine maintenance, setup and configurations for hardware and software systems
  • Analyze and resolve end-user trouble tickets submitted by phone, email, portal or in-person
  • Travel to supported sites to help with installations, routine maintenance or problems
  • Travel between PA and NJ office and facility locations as needed
  • Desktop PCs, Laptops, Network Switches, and miscellaneous hardware
  • Write technical documentation for IT Staff and end-users
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Escalate problems that fall outside of skill level of this position to tier 2 support (Network and Computer systems Administrator or Senior Technician)
  • Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8, 10)
  • Apple Mac OS a plus but not necessary
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Antivirus/Malware software
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County has served children in our area since 2002. Our work supports the belief that every child has the ability to succeed and thrive in life.

We are seeking a Director of Community Outreach who will be responsible for donor acquisition and fund-raising events (car raffle/cash raffle); an annual giving program; major gifts from individuals; corporate giving; grant writing and foundation giving; and planned giving.

Responsibilities also include implementing, sustaining, and evaluating an effective marketing and public relations program that advances the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County, executing two annual newsletters and maintaining a donor database.

This position works closely with the Executive Director and Board to drive strategic fund development goals.

Timeline: ASAP, Six-Month Contract with Option to Extend



Job Description

As an email marketing specialist, you will oversee all aspects of email marketing campaigns, including working closely with stakeholders and agencies to develop, execute and maintain daily/weekly monitoring of email marketing campaigns; drive efficient and effective campaign execution; incorporate digital marketing and automation best practices, and devise A/B testing strategies and optimizations.


Responsibilities

  • Produce and execute all email campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and scheduling. This includes building templates, landing pages, lead forms and CTAs.

  • Support strategic plans via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle including prospecting, win-back, nurturing, post-purchase, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional emails.

  • Use customer data such as web-behavior to drive the message and content personalization.

  • Test and learn by: executing A/B tests, managing testing calendar, recording results, and advising on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer cohorts, and segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift.

  • Work in partnership with designers, copywriters and Global agency to optimize email creative and template structure based on best practices.

  • Provide regular campaign performance reports that include opens, clicks, conversions, revenue, revenue lift, unsubscribes, etc.

  • Identify new opportunities and nurture the sales pipeline with the goal to accelerate qualified prospects and drive revenue

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on email marketing automation experience with Marketo 

  • Detailed knowledge of email regulations, best practices, and compliance internationally in various regulatory regimes (e.g., GDPR or CASL).

  • Strong email copy background

  • Functional knowledge of audience segmentation

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript – specifically building emails and landing pages that are responsive. Ability to code in HTML

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations to help achieve revenue goals and improve customer experience

  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM

  • Ability to work in a matrix and fast-paced environment

This position will support the Watershed’s clean water policies and actions in 30 municipalities spanning from Trenton to North Brunswick.

The Community Water Advocate has three main areas of focus:
  • Conducting outreach and education to community groups and leaders in both English and Spanish speaking communities on flooding, degraded water quality and other environmental issues related to water.
  • Building engagement and supporting community members who are interested in advocating for environmental issues at the local level.
