Project Manager – IT Management Services

A. Role Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects that execute within the IT CRM & Business Continuity domains. They are responsible for creating and managing the supporting project plans, business expectations, steering committees, budget, risks and issues and in general, all the project governance mechanisms we employ at AXIS. The Project Manager must be effective at leading and guiding the work of project delivery teams, serving as a liaison between project/business owners and technical stakeholders, and monitoring progress to assure scope, schedule and budget targets are met.

The Project Manager reports to the IT Program Management Office. In this position, a resource is responsible for leading Business Continuity projects with respect to AXIS’ external processes and capabilities with brokers and partners. Position requires broad understanding of application development and customer relationship management, processes, and services, and in addition coordinating with strategic sourcing partners and leading onshore and offshore delivery teams.

B. Responsibilities

 Responsible for preparing the overall project plan, development and execution of deliverables, and budgeting

 Oversee all project delivery activities and serve as the main point of contact for project resources, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors

 Document all project milestones within the project plan

 Monitor and report on project scope, schedule, and budget

 Coordinate internal resources and 3rd parties/vendors for project execution

 Identify and manage project dependencies

 Assess and manage risk for the project, develop and implement mitigation plans

 Responsible for the preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, or quarterly project status reports

 Communicate to project sponsors, steering committees, team members and other key stakeholders; delivering audience appropriate messages

C. Required Skills and Qualifications

 10 or more years of relevant professional experience; financial services or insurance experience “plus”

 7 or more years experience with project management, coordinating and executing IT projects

 General understanding of business continuity, CRM, and the insurance industry

 Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

 Possess strong project management (planning, organizing, monitoring, reporting) skills

 Knowledge of the IT Project Lifecycle, especially with regard to planning and initiation, delivery, testing, & problem resolution

 Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently on a regular basis

 Budget / Financial Management

 Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science

 Experience managing vendors working within an infrastructure outsourcing model

 PMP, PgMP, Six Sigma certification (or similar relevant credential) preferred;

 Communication, leadership, team building, influencing, decision making, negotiation, interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organization

 Ability to adapt quickly to new environments, and a fast learner

Job Description:
Specialist providing support to the IT Contract Compliance and IT Supplier Lifecyle Management functions within IT Operations.

The position is primarily responsible for:
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources (i.e., Ariba Contracting, Ariba Requestion, Service Now, etc.,)
  • Create proactive dashboards for IT Supplier Lifecycle Management
  • Support the IT Supplier Lifecycle onboarding process by reviewing weekly Procurement reports to identify new Suppliers
  • Engage with Digital Capability Managers (DCM) to initiate IT Software Prior Endorsement and IT Service Business Needs form
  • Assist process improvement initiatives to streamline and automate IT Supplier Lifecycle Management processes
  • Maintain and enhance the IT Support Lifecycle Management SharePoint including, but not limited to the Prior Endorsement & Contract Review forms
  • Manage requests and workflows related to contract review requests, either manually, through SharePoint, or ServiceNow
  • Facilitate contracts, including approvals and signature, through the Client contract management system
  • Perform contract management administrative tasks

Skills Set:
  • Advanced knowledge in MS SharePoint, specifically experience in creating SharePoint lists with Power Apps workflows
  • Experience building Tableau Dashboards using data from an Enterprise Data Lake and other data sources, such as MS Excel
  • Proficient in creating MS Visio workflows & PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience using Service Now and/or Ariba a plus
  • Effective communication both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge and experience in IT is a plus
  • 6 - 8 years of work experience

Operations Manager 4 - Ridgefield Park, NJ - 6+ Months Contract

Duration: 6+ Months with Possibility of extension.
The primary objective of this position is to support Client Customer Care CE Operation Project/Program Management activities including project plan creation, resource planning, and project status monitoring & reporting. The goal of the Project/Program Manager is to support on-time, in-scope/budget projects. In order to achieve the highest project performance, the person in this position is expected to maintain effective communication with key stakeholders and leaders within the division and cross-divisionally where applicable. Also, require advanced PowerPoint skills with capability of storytelling visually.

We are looking for candidates to stay on long-term (contract to hire).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage 4-7 ongoing projects portfolio within the CE Operation
• Support business leads in the creation of project plans, deployment & handover plans, resource plans
• Ensure that all projects have required documentation as they move through the project tollgates
• Collaborate with program developers and business leads to keep project in scope
• Communicate to leadership on project status and escalation/decision points
• Education - Bachelor's Degree; MBA or Masters-level degree a plus but not required(or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years hands-on project management experience with budgets >$50K
• 4+ years strategic planning and project development experience
