Internal Communications Consultant - Remote - Contract Assignment

Job Type: W-2 Contract

Duration: 6 months

Work schedule: 20 hours/week; 4 hours/day,  hours may increase if the consultant is interested.  

Location: Boston, MA; full remote work, preference from MA, CT, NY states

 

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an Internal Communications Consultant, who will support and manage communications for Global Operations employees and will contribute to the strategy and development of functional, enterprise and leadership communications.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience providing communications counsel to leaders and creating communications plans that engage and inform employees.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Understand communications needs and challenges and work creatively and collaboratively to deliver effective communications from written leadership messages, talking points to multi-dimensional communications plans.  

·         Ensure updates, initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders

·         Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications channels, including intranet, newsletters, PowerPoint decks, talking points, emails, videos, etc.

·         Draft messages or scripts from senior leaders for presentation to employees in written or spoken form

 

Skills and Qualifications

·         10+ years as a communications leader

·         Demonstrated expertise in internal communications and executive communications strategy and execution

·         Strong editing and proofing skills. Strong attention to detail

·         Solid organizational and project management skills.

·         Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

·         Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

·         Previous employment in the pharma/biotech industry preferred but not required.

 

Education

·         Bachelor's degree

 

 

Based on call with hiring manager:

Need to have strong and relevant experience in the following:

  1. Someone driven and directed internal communications specifically. Not someone with PR or  marketing communications experience.
  2. Finding someone who can support senior leaders, person in this role would need to partner with sr. leaders as a part of that global operations leadership team so we are referring to Sr.VP, that level and confidently direct their communications and demonstrate that they have done in the past. The person with the right type of presentation is really important but also has some demonstrated experience supporting a senior leader in their communications not only in drafting but in terms of building a strategy, holding meetings where you are pushing back or redirecting a leader on how they may want to approach a specific communication.  That is what we are struggling to find a person with that type of specific experience.

US Medical Budget Coordinator - Lawrence Township, NJ

This role is currently work-from-home and will move to the office environment after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Job Description: Position Description
• Use of Ariba to route statements of work (SOWs) and Amendments
• Understand process flow for all documents entered into system
• Shepherd documents through the system, with diligent follow-up
• Research and resolve invoicing discrepancies
• Ability to comfortably navigate through ambiguous situations and work on a resolution
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast paced environment
• Serve as a trusted advisor and backup to the Business Operations Specialist II
• Identify and share best practices on process improvements
• Interface with Global Procurement as needed
• Use of RPM to create product plans and WBS elements, enter April/Sept projections, and Fund transfers
• Maintain/track monthly budgets for each asset using a Planned Spend excel spreadsheet
• Understand budget/projections per brand and how the book of work will be delivered on budget
• Meet with stakeholders individually and in teams to set budget priorities and ensure budget execution.

Skills and Knowledge Desired
• Proactive in identifying and collecting required information to drive the routing process forward in a timely manner
• Understanding Client compliance guidelines, SOPs regarding Ariba and SAP processes
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

Experience / Position Requirements Desired
• Experience with SAP is required.
• Excellent Excel experience is required (must know formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Finance background preferred
• RPM experience is a plus
• Extremely detailed-oriented
• Analytical or financial background preferred
• One to three years in a global pharmaceutical organization a plus
• Three to five years professional work experience; college degree preferred
• Additional MS office skills are a plus

We are looking for a Application Development manager, who can manage a team of Java and Front-end developers focusing on Content Technology.
  • Active application development.
  • Guide architecture for complex projects by promoting architectural best practices for software development and services
  • Leads technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and contribute to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews.
  • Lead the infrastructure and systems design for applications in cloud technologies: UI technologies, microservices, SQL/NoSQL datastores and caching layers
  • Review and suggest the Unit test cases and the testing approach used by the team.
  • Work with the Architects community and understand overall direction for the organization.
  • Advise other local technology teams on best practices, applicable technologies, and educate teams on the basics of cloud-native delivery.
