TITLE of JOB/Consultant needed: PACS Trainer
LOCATION: 100% Remote (EST)
Start Date: May 10th, 2021
LOA: 3+ Months
Insert Job Description: Client is upgrading their imaging/radiology system to IBM Merge PACS 8.0
- Day to Day Duties/Project Details: Resource would be responsible for hands on training of the radiologists on new functionalities, develop the training plans & conduct video trainings, as well as develop tip sheets to share with end users. There may be some assistance needed with testing the functionality of the system as well. Developing and planning strategies, and providing technical support. Training end-users and designing programs to improve management of the system.
Must Have Skills:
3+ years with PACS Applications
Knowledge of PACS 8.0 System
- Knowledge of the HL7 / DICOM standard in theory and practice
- Basic knowledge of database structures and can create database queries (e.g. SQL)
- Basic knowledge of current server operating systems, virtual environments and networks as well as the safe handling of client hardware / software
- Understanding of diagnostic images and workflows with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Radiological Information Systems (RIS)
- Working knowledge of VPN (virtual private network) and NAT (network address translation) technologies
